I wanted a sifter to make it a little easier when I had to sift a lot of confectioners sugar for cookie making.
I bought this particular sifter from Amazon using an Amazon gift card given by my daughter and thought it would be perfect for my baking adventures.
All you need to start it up is 2 AA batteries. It holds 4 cups of flour and vibrates to sift. The cleanup is super easy, just rinse but don't immerse the whole thing in water.
Overall, I am pleased with this item. I will let you know how long it lasts me!

We hope you enjoyed this blog post. Do you have and use a sifter often? Do you think you would be interested in using a battery-operated sifter? Comments are appreciated.
Happy baking,

I don't use a sifter very often, but when I do I use an old fashioned one with a crank handle. I think it works faster than this one and is just as efficient. But if you like it... that's all that matters.
I have a sifter that you squeeze the handle and the metal wheel at the bottom spins. I found it easier to just shake it against my other hand. Comes out faster that way. And you know how impatient I am. ha ha
I don't know about you, but I get excited about fall decorating. T he change of colors is always so pretty and fall just feels like such a cozy season. One of my other favorite things about fall is all of the wonderful scents. Ahhh, the crisp fall air! The rich spices like ground cinnamon and cloves bring a warmth to the air that can’t be denied. ***UPDATED 1/27/24*** I stumbled upon this Birthday Cake Box for the needy on Pinterest and thought what a fabulous idea. It’s super quick & easy to make and donate to the food pantry/people in need. The Dollar Tree and Walmart have the cake mixes and frosting for just over $1 and lots of paper products and inexpensive party supplies. For just under $10 you can make them for your local shelter or food pantry. Kids get a kick out of helping and it also makes a great service project for scout groups and church ministry groups. Here's what you need to make a Birthday Cake Box: 9x13 Disposable aluminum foil pan with a lid, it's helpful to have the lid for packaging and delivering purposes. 1 box of cake mix, any flavor you like 1 can of lemon-lime soda (in case the recipient doesn’t have eggs or oil) Birthday candles You can add birthday napkins, candles, a banner, etc. Did you know that you can make a delicious cake out of nothing but a box of ...
***UPDATED 7/8/23*** Nature's Nectar Pure Coconut Water from ALDI didn't suit our fancy. We all agreed there's way to much sodium taste in the coconut water and as you get older, as we three are, we have to watch our sodium intake. As we taste-tested the water, the decision was it wasn't good to just drink but we did, however, agree that it might make a great addition to making smoothies. How about making this delicious smoothie: Ingredients Coconut water, regular or flavored 2 bananas 2 mangos 1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen) 1/2 cup Greek yogurt 2 tablespoons honey Directions Fill ice trays with the coconut water and freeze until solid. Place the fruit, honey, and 12 to 14 coconut water-flavored ice cubes into a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Recipe courtesy Bobby Flay Here's the nutritional ...

ReplyDeletehand crank probably would be faster but for as much sugar Cathy has to sift, this may be the thing for her. Thanks for the comment!

ReplyDeleteCathy will find out if it helps with the speed of sifting. Thanks for commenting!
