Six Make Ahead Freezer Meals

Do you like to save time and money? Make-ahead freezer meals save time and money. I typically make a meal for the three of us and freeze the leftovers. It's always a great idea to have a few meals in the freezer for those busy days.

I recommend making extra of every meal during a full week, then you will have a full week of dinners in a pinch.

Prepping freezer meals starts with buying enough ingredients to make at least two family meals at once.

Use nonporous containers like glass dishes, freezer bags, and those foil pans you can get 2 for $1.25 at the Dollar Tree to store your meals. Most of these recipes are delicious for up to four months.

This dish is not only simple and delicious, but it's also budget-friendly when you use flavor-packed chicken drumsticks. Make sure to thaw this freezer meal in the fridge the night before to speed up oven cooking time.

Make a few loaves at a time, and when you’re ready to indulge, just pop a pan in the oven.

I have done this before especially when the recipe calls for 2 pounds of meat. I

split it in half and freeze one. Easy peasy!

When making this into a freezer meal – put the noodles, sauce, and chicken into two 9×9 foil tins. Wait until it cools down a little, place foil on top, and stick in the freezer. To cook when frozen: Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until heated through. To cook when frozen but then thawed: Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until heated through.
