Carbquik Biscuits Recipe Review with Kayla
We have Kayla, as our guest writer this week, giving her review of a biscuit recipe using Carbquik. Sometimes I get a craving for bread and butter. While butter is low-carb, the bread usually isn’t. When I found Carbquik, I just knew I had to give it a try. Carbquik is not considered clean keto, but it’s perfect for low-carb and lazy keto diets. I’ve never made proper biscuits, only drop biscuits, and these are a good compromise between drop and cut biscuits. They mix up quickly with the help of a food processor and just need to be formed in your hands. My biscuits were a bit crumbly, which is probably an indication that I should’ve added more heavy cream, but they browned beautifully and had a decent texture. Warm, with a pat of butter, they were pretty good. I will have to do some experimentation to get the perfect biscuits, but this recipe was a good starting point.
