June is National Country Cooking Month - Enjoy these 10 Recipes



Did you know that June was National Country Cooking Month? Me neither. This is a perfect opportunity to try something new or make an old family favorite. The summer is a time most families spend taking a vacation or visiting relatives and that's when we can savor some good ole country cooking.

Country cooking is often known as comfort food such as fried chicken, green beans with bacon and we can't forget the biscuits. There's a lot of heart and soul that goes into those meals and they bring back memories. We can pass the recipes and techniques down from generation to generation.

How can we observe Country Cooking Month? You can eat at restaurants that serve country-style foods such as Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Country Cookin restaurant, Paula Deen's Lady and Sons, Bojangles Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits, or Country Kitchen. Check your area for some southern or country cooking cuisine.
