What brings you joy???

Image
***Updated 4/29/23*** I've been thinking lately about what brings me joy. We all go through trials in our lives and I believe that during the struggle we can find a blessing and joy. Here are a few things that bring me JOY: My Lord as Savior is the foremost JOY in my life. If it wasn't for him giving me life and victory to fight the good fight, I don't know where I'd be today. Thank you, Lord!! My husband Jay, is my greatest earthly joy. He makes me laugh at the dumbest things and he keeps me grounded. He's a wonderful father, grandfather, and provider and he's the love of my life. I'm glad he found me! My children are a blessing and a joy, no matter how old they are, they will always be my babies. My grandchildren are just the icing on the cake with a big old JOY on top. I love them to the moon and back. What's the saying, "If I had known grandchildren were this much fun I would have had them first". My dog Baxter is a wo...

Pinterest Lephrechaun S'mores NAILED IT --- NOT!!

Image
For our  February LIVE Facebook video, we thought we'd try out a Pinterest project of these adorable Leprechaun Hat & S'more's. How good do they look? Chocolate, Keebler's striped cookies and marshmallows. What's not to love about that? As you can see by our attempt on LIVE video, they didn't turn out to half bad. We didn't dip the whole cookie in the chocolate like the directions said to but for time sake that part worked out fine. We dipped the marshmallows in the chocolate with toothpick and set them on a plate, put them in the freezer for a bit. After taking them out of the freezer, we dipped one side in chocolate to attach to the cookie. This is where we failed. We should have dipped the chocolate covered marshmallows in the green chocolate then dipped them in the green sugar. Our attempt to make a shamrock failed also. It was all in fun and if you want to try and make them yourself, we would suggest taking a bit more time than we did. H...

Advice on Raising Children

Image
***UPDATED 12/26/22*** We think having and raising a family is the most wonderful gift from above. We three sisters thought we'd share some advice from our own experiences. 1. Hold your babies! They need that connection with their mom, dad, or whoever is taking care of them. It's so fun to watch their expressions while they sleep. 2. Feed your babies while holding them. Children shouldn't be an inconvenience so make sure you take the time to feed them properly. 3. Talk to your children. They learn to communicate when they are being talked to you by you, not the TV or electronics. 4. Read to your kids. Just maybe they will love to read when they're older. It's a good thing. 5. Play with your kids. The imagination of children is fueled by you. How fun it is to watch their little minds make up stories and pretend. We hope this helps all of you new parents or soon-to-be parents. Congratulations to Kelly, as she was blessed with her 5th grandchild this J...
