My Trip to the Grand Canyon

In my last blog, I told you that my husband, Mom and I took the train to the Grand Canyon.  If you haven't seen that post, click here . Trip on the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, Arizona

My trip to Arizona earlier this year included a trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.  It was decided that we would take a day trip which included a train ride to the Grand Canyon.   We stayed the night in Williams, Arizona.   It is a very small town about an hour outside of Flagstaff.   It seemed to consist of  two main streets.   On one  street  there is the Grand Canyon Railway and Hotel.  You can stay at the hotel, but there are other hotels available to stay in as well.  My husband, Mom, and I stayed at one of the other hotels.   The next morning, we boarded the train to the Grand Canyon.  It is a day trip to and from the Grand Canyon.  There are various train cars to choose from.  The cars go from basic to luxurious and the price varies depending on which car you choose.   www.thetrain.com There is an attendant in each car to answer questions and tell some of the histories.  The tri...
