Hey Valentine "I Dig You" Craft Idea

We recently found a Valentine's craft to do for our grandkids and it looked like an easy one to create. The only problem we had was finding the little white sand shovels. Needless to say, we couldn't find them this time of year but we did find some inexpensive plastic shovels at Walmart for only $.94 that would work in a pinch.

Kelly made the tags that she is offering to YOU for free. Just click the pdf file link below and print them on card stock paper.

Supplies you will need:
  • Small plastic shovel Walmart or Amazon ( if you keep this idea in mind for next year, grab some shovels at the Dollar Store when they are in season )
  • Clear plastic goodie bags big enough for the shovel and treats.
  • Ribbon
  • Assorted candies, treats
  • I DIG YOU tag

Directions:
Simply just put the shovel in the bag, add the treats, tie on the tag with a ribbon, wire, or whatever you have on hand, and wrap a pretty bow. "VOILA" you have a simple yet lovely give to give to your sweetheart.

Check out our video on YouTube as we show you how we put them together.

Keep it sassy,
Kelly

Christmas Decorated Wooden Spoon Challenge November 2020

We had a challenge recently to use old or new wooden spoons decorated in a Christmas motif. This was so much fun and some folks really did create some unique spoons. Maybe you can design your own with a little inspiration from these wonderful ladies who participated in the challenge.
Joyce Edstron did a fantastic job on her spoons

Thank you to all those that participated and we hope we gave you some incentive to a DIY project for the upcoming holidays.

Cathy's Homemade Wrinkle Release Spray for Clothing

 ***UPDATED 7/8/23***

Cathy's Homemade Wrinkle Release Spray for Clothing

I sell clothing online and sometimes they are extremely wrinkled. Plus, I use this for my own clothing. I have been using this recipe for about 3 years now and works great for me. This is simple and inexpensive.

 Recipe:

  •       14 oz spray bottle
  •       12 oz of water
  •       1 tsp fabric softener
  •       1 tsp alcohol

Instructions:

  1. Mix all ingredients by shaking.
  2. Hang the clothing up on a hanger, I hang mine in the shower.
  3. Spray generously on those stubborn wrinkles and stretch the fabric at the wrinkle to straighten.
  4. Let dry overnight.

So easy! I hope you will try this and save money because those wrinkle-release sprays purchased in the store are expensive.

Let us know if you have tried this recipe or have one of your own. Comment and share your thoughts.

Stay safe and healthy,

Cathy

DIY - How to Make an Airtight Lid for Any Bagged Item

Would you like to know how to put a lid on all those bags of sugar, candy, cereal, etc.?
Cathy found out a way and wants to share it with YOU!

What you will need:
  1. A plastic bottle with a screw top.
  2. A bag of whatever you want to keep fresh or just pour-able.
Instructions:
  1. Take the wrapper off the plastic bottle.
  2. Cut the top of the bottle and cutting it short helps with the process.
  3. With the lid off, thread the bag through the top.
  4. Fold the bag over the top enough to cover the thread.
  5. Push the screw top down over the bag and then screw the top on. The bag will twist with it but you can turn the bag and it will be fine.

Try it out and let us know how it works for you!!
