Seasonal Winter Produce Recipes

Image
Winter is like nature’s way of saying, “Hey, here’s a bunch of delicious stuff to make up for the freezing temperatures.” Root vegetables—carrots, potatoes, and parsnips—are basically the superheroes of hearty meals, ready to be roasted, mashed, or thrown into a cozy stew. Dark leafy greens like kale, collards, and Swiss chard are out here thriving in the cold, making you feel healthy just by looking at them. Squash, turnips, and sweet potatoes bring the warmth (and an excuse to eat more butter), while citrus fruits—oranges, grapefruits, and lemons—are like little bursts of sunshine, reminding you that summer will return… eventually. Below are eight seasonal recipes for you to try, each highlighting fresh ingredients and flavors perfect for this time of year. These recipes celebrate the best flavors of the winter season, offering something delicious to enjoy all season long.
