Ah yes, Friday the 13th .  The one day of the year (well… several days, technically) when perfectly rational adults suddenly refuse to walk under ladders, eye their black cats with suspicion, and treat sidewalk cracks like hidden landmines. It’s the holiday of superstition. The Olympics of unnecessary anxiety. The day where people who normally laugh at horoscopes will whisper, “I don’t know… something feels off today.” But let’s be honest — Friday the 13th isn’t terrifying. It’s theatrical. And humanity absolutely loves a little drama. The Reputation of the Number 13 (Unfairly Slandered, Honestly) Somewhere along the way, the number 13 got the worst PR campaign in history.
