EVERYPLATE review

Image
I've ordered from Everyplate before and it's my favorite out of all the other meal subscriptions. Most of the meals take 30 - 35 minutes to prepare. Since I had received an email with a great deal to come back, I just had to order from them once again. It's pretty easy to order from them and you do have choices on how many you want to serve such as 2-4 people and meals per week from 3-5 days. You can choose your meal preferences: Meat and veggie, Veggie, Family friends, and Quick and easy.   You can substitute your meals if you don't happen to like the selection they chose for you, which is a nice feature. If you continue with the weekly subscription, they do give you a chance to skip a week, just make sure you make that choice by the end date for delivery. It is an overnight delivery and they have it packed with frozen packs to keep the perishable cold. I ordered 5 days for 4 servings in my settings. Asparagus Facts and Recipes

***UPDATED 4/27/24*** Asparagus is now in season in Virginia. I happen to like asparagus, how about you? My preference is to grill it on our gas grill with some olive oil and salt/pepper. Oh so good! Sea salt was the asparagus farmer’s original herbicide. White asparagus and green asparagus come from the same plant. Green asparagus gets its color from sunlight. When the plant breaks through the ground, the sun hits it, turning it green. For white asparagus, sunlight is prevented from touching the plant by piling dirt on top of the stalks so the asparagus matures underground. Once the tip breaks through the surface, the stalk...

Six Make Ahead Freezer Meals

Image
Do you like to save time and money? Make-ahead freezer meals save time and money. I typically make a meal for the three of us and freeze the leftovers. It's always a great idea to have a few meals in the freezer for those busy days. I recommend making extra of every meal during a full week, then you will have a full week of dinners in a pinch. Prepping freezer meals starts with buying enough ingredients to make at least two family meals at once.  Use nonporous containers like glass dishes, freezer bags, and those foil pans you can get 2 for $1.25 at the  Dollar Tree  to store your meals. Most of these recipes are delicious for up to four months.
