Bread Machine Milk and Honey Bread Recipe

As I was looking for my bread machine book recently, the drawer was such a mess that I decided to clean it out.  While cleaning out the drawer I found this Milk and Honey Bread recipe for bread makers.  It sounded so good I had to try it. So, I got my bread machine out, and low and behold the book was inside the machine. Too late, I had already decided to try this recipe.  Besides, if this recipe flopped, I had time to make my regular bread.

Milk and Honey Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plus 1 TBS milk
  •  3 TBS honey (I used my husband’s honey, Pop’s Bees
  •  3 TBS butter (melted)
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  •  3 cups bread flour
  •  2 teaspoons active dry yeast (not bread machine yeast)

Instructions:

  1. Add ingredients to the bread machine pan in the order recommended by your bread machine manufacturer.   Settings:   Basic with Medium crust  Size: 1.5 lb

This bread turned out GREAT!!   As you can see, it made a nice even 1.5 lb. loaf.  It is a soft bread and stayed soft even two days later.

Not as white as my white bread recipe, but since it has honey and butter in it that is to be expected.

It has a great flavor.  My husband LOVES it.

I found this recipe at The Spruce Eats site.
