10 Reusable Items to Save You Money

***UPDATED 9/2/23***

These 10 reusable items are more sustainable and can save you money in the long term. And who doesn't like to save money? I happen to use several of these items listed. Why not give them a try. You can use the links under the photos which will take you to the Amazon store.

Produce Bags

Instead of reaching for disposable plastic bags when picking up produce, bring these reusable bags to the grocery store. Like many reusable items, they’re machine-washable and will last for years. They’re perfect for farmers' market trips, too.

K Cups

SHOP HERE

If you use your single-serve coffee maker every morning, opt for these reusable K cups. Not only will you save money and prevent waste, but you’ll be able to use your favorite coffee beans for single servings.

Reusable Sponge

  • These reusable sponges are a great alternative to store-bought sponges. Sponges are reusable and will last.
  • Sponges are perfect for washing dishes, cleaning countertops, scrubbing bathrooms, etc. We use these in our home!
  • Sponges are handmade and sewn from cotton fabric, terry cloth, and mesh and have a polyester, mildew-resistant core.
  • Avoid washing knives or sharp objects to prevent tearing or puncturing the sponge.
  • Care Instructions: Machine washable, air dry. Sponges are also safe for the dishwasher.
  • Handmade in the USA

Reusable Cotton Rounds

Disposable cotton rounds are one of those items that add up over time. These reusable cotton rounds make removing makeup or nail polish a breeze. Plus, they help you save money and reduce waste. I've made my own before but would buy these to save time.

Food Covers

These pretty food covers will replace your need for aluminum foil when throwing leftovers in the fridge. They are made of quality cotton cloth, with clear pattern printing, neat edge cutting, no extra thread, not easy to fade or break, with good elasticity, which can be safely applied for food storage and can serve you for a long time.

Mason Jars

Use your mason jar to stash flowers, beverages, leftovers, utensils, and more. It will work with traditional Mason jars, as well as glass salsa, sauce, and yogurt containers.

Mop Pads

The cost of single-use mop pads can add up over time. Instead, try these machine-washable pads. They can be used either wet or dry, and they’re safe for all floor types.

Silicone Straws

I love my silicone straws and use them every day. Instead of buying plastic straws try using this pack of reusable silicone straws. They are Odorless, come in a set of 12 Standard Reusable Drinking Straws, 4 Carry Pouches, and 2 Cleaning Brushes, and are made of Certificated Food Grade Platinum Silicone - 8 1/2" Long.

Dryer Balls

I know folks that can't use fabric softener, we aren't those folks, but I do like to save money and these dryer balls work great to keep the static electricity off the clothes.

Bagless Vacuum

Bye-bye vacuum bags. Many brands are opting for an easy-to-empty canister that deposits debris directly into the trash. I bought one of these Dyson V7 Bagless Handheld Stick vacuums a few years ago and will never return to vacuums that use a bag.

We'd love to hear from you. Do you use reusable items? If so share them with us in the comments below.
