Creative Christmas Wrapping Ideas

Image
I love different styles of gift wrapping. Wrapping paper has come a long way and the creativity that folks have is phenomenal. I usually buy wrapping paper from Hobby Lobby  because it’s sturdy and it has grid marks on the back to help with cutting. I go after Christmas for the big sale as they always have lots of paper left. Using embellishments is fun. You can use natural products such as pine cones, evergreens, herbs, etc. If you like ribbons, try using different widths together on a package to give it dimension. I've used pictures as a tag instead of writing who the gift is going to, the photo tells it. Be creative and have fun! Here are some of my favorite styles of gift wrapping along with some links for your convenience. Happy wrapping!!

Inspirational Gift Idea for Friends and Neighbors

Image
***UPDATED 10/22/24*** I try to do something special for our neighbors, postal deliverer, and others at Christmas time. I saw this idea on Jamie Cooks It up blog post recently and thought what a wonderful idea. This year has been a little taxing on us all and we could always use a pick-me-up.

Gingerbread House Creations

Image
I just love to make gingerbread houses. It's one of my favorite traditions during the Christmas season. Below are some of the gingerbread creations that my daughter and I made in the past. Some of them were from scratch and some were kits. I hope this gives you some incentive to get your creative juices flowing not only to make something unique but make memories. My grandson's first gingerbread creation. Can you tell he loves trains? He wants to make a Thomas Train this year. Can you tell which were made from scratch from the kits? Which one of the gingerbread creations above is your favorite? I think if I had to choose, my favorite would be the two story house that I made from scratch. (Oops I gave one away) I actually used a pattern that I found online or in a book, I can't remember. It was the most difficult gingerbread house we made. We would love for you to share your gingerbread house creations, whether it be from the past or just recently. Tag us on your social medi...
