Celebrate all month long by incorporating oatmeal in your breakfast and snacks.  Do you love oatmeal as much as I do? I think oatmeal is underrated. You can do so much with it besides eating it in a bowl. You can make yummy granola, and muffins, add them to smoothies, and a multitude of other delicious food items. It's not only good to eat, you can make a face mask, and add it to a bath to relieve itchy skin. I found 10 recipes that are not only delicious but good for you. All these recipes come from Delish . First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 2020 was a challenging year and we hope that 2021 will be better and that we can get to more of our normal life. Sad to say, this may be our new normal for a while. Oh well, let's talk about something we all love to talk about and that's food! We LOVE Chick-fil-A! Did you know that their most delicious special sauce was invented by the owner of our local Fredericksburg CFA restaurant? I keep their sauce on hand but when it runs out, oh my, what shall we do. We found out that Walmart has a Great Value Chicken Dipping Sauce that rivals CFA Sauce . Hopefully, the next year will bring us good health and happiness.  This post is all about that crockpot we have that rarely gets used. I honestly use mine quite often especially when I have a busy day coming up. Here are just a few of my favorite crockpot soup recipes that you may like to try in the near future. Winter is here and soup is comfort food, in my opinion. First up is an all-time favorite... CrockPot Creamy Chicken and Rice soup. This recipe comes from Jamie Cooks It Up. I love different styles of gift wrapping. Wrapping paper has come a long way and the creativity that folks have is phenomenal. I usually buy wrapping paper from Hobby Lobby  because it’s sturdy and it has grid marks on the back to help with cutting. I go after Christmas for the big sale as they always have lots of paper left. Using embellishments is fun. You can use natural products such as pine cones, evergreens, herbs, etc. If you like ribbons, try using different widths together on a package to give it dimension. I've used pictures as a tag instead of writing who the gift is going to, the photo tells it. Be creative and have fun!
