**UPDATED 3/31/23** My husband and I made a trip to Arizona late February and early March to visit my Mom in Mesa, Arizona.  One of the places we got to explore was the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona.  The garden was not in full bloom, but it was nice just the same.  I think we were about a month too early. There were plenty of cacti to see and several that happened to have blooms on them.   There were some beautiful flowers in bloom.  One of the exhibits in the garden is called The Bee Garden.  Here are some of the flowers that were in bloom.  And yes the bees were doing their thing. ***UPDATED 3/18/24*** It’s that time of year when flowers, bunnies, chicks, and eggs are popping up EVERYWHERE! Easter is the first holiday of Spring and we celebrate with the Easter Bunny and Easter egg hunts. But most importantly, we celebrate Easter for one reason, and that’s the death & resurrection of Jesus Christ. With all the commercialization of religious holidays, we tend to forget the real meaning. When my kids were growing up, we loved to do crafts. ***UPDATED 3/18/23*** Organizing a pantry can be a daunting task but with a few products and time, you can have your pantry in ship-shape order sooner than you think. The first thing to do is take everything out of your pantry.  Take inventory of food items and check expiration dates. Throw anything away that is past its best used by date. If there's an item that you know you won't use and it's not expired, give it to a local food pantry. Clean the shelves and floor. Invest in some baskets or containers to store your items, the Dollar store, Ikea, Amazon, and Walmart are great places to go. They have all kinds of containers to choose from. ***UPDATED 3/4/23*** St. Patrick’s Day observes the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. The holiday has evolved into a celebration of Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, drinking, and a whole lot of green.  Remember when you were in school and if you weren't wearing green you were pinched? I always tried to wear green 🤣 Do you blame me? 🍀 I don't know about you but we love to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with food. I'm not sure we have any Irish in us but we can all celebrate along with those that are Irish. Ireland is well known for great meals like corned beef and cabbage and that is one dish my family and I thoroughly enjoy eating. I've made it in the crockpot and on the stovetop.
