***UPDATED 7/14/23*** It’s been hot and sticky in Virginia lately. What would make it tolerable is a cold & refreshing treat. My grandkids love popsicles and I have them ready when they come over for a visit. You don’t have to have anything fancy to make popsicles. All you need is some fruit juice, fruit, and some sort of mold. I’ve made them in small cups with a popsicle stick and I’ve made them in a silicone mold.   Here are some delicious recipes that you can make for your kids, grandkids, or just for yourself.  The link to the recipes is highlighted in this post. We recently found a Valentine's craft to do for our grandkids and it looked like an easy one to create. The only problem we had was finding the little white sand shovels. Needless to say, we couldn't find them this time of year but we did find some inexpensive plastic shovels at Walmart for only $.94 that would work in a pinch. Supplies you will need: Small plastic shovel Walmart or Amazon ( if you keep this idea in mind for next year, grab some shovels at the Dollar Store when they are in season ) Clear plastic goodie bags  big enough for the shovel and treats. Ribbon  Assorted candies, treats I DIG YOU tag Directions: Simply just put the shovel in the bag, add the treats, tie on the tag with a ribbon, wire, or whatever you have on hand, and wrap a pretty bow.
