January 3rd marks a very special occasion as we come together to celebrate the 90th birthday of our beloved mother, Mama Sassy . It is a milestone that is truly worth celebrating, as it is a testament to the strength, resilience, and love that she has embodied throughout her life. As we reflect on the incredible journey that our mother has taken, we are filled with gratitude for all the sacrifices she has made for our family.  Our mother has always been the heart and soul of our family. She has been the pillar of strength that has held us all together through the highs and lows of life. Her unwavering love and support have been our constant source of inspiration and motivation. Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.  Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings, and participating in parades. Unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer season. Cities and towns across the United States host Memorial Day parades each year, often incorporating military personnel and members of veterans’ organizations.
