***Updated 4/27/24***
Natural CPTG Certified Pure Tested Grade™ essential oils can help maintain soft hair and a healthy-looking scalp. Complete with nourishing essential oils like Cedarwood, Lavender, Peppermint, Marjoram, and more, the doTERRA Salon Essentials Root to Tip Serum formula is designed to provide the hair with hydration and protection, without weighing hair down like other products do. The use of pure essential oils allows the Root to Tip Serum to gently nourish and rejuvenate the scalp while providing hair strands with proper moisture. This formula provides salon-level hair care without leaving behind a greasy residue—giving hair a light, healthy glow.
Root to Tip Serum Uses and Benefits
- An important part of promoting healthy-looking hair is maintaining moisture. The Root to Tip Serum formula contains protective lipids that will help nourish and protect the hair and scalp while providing moisture. When your strands feel dry and lackluster, the Root to Tip Serum can help moisturize and nourish, restoring your hair to its former glory.
- For those days when you need to get your hair under control, the Root to Tip Serum can provide immediate conditioning, smoothing, and shine. With soothing and moisturizing CPTG® essential oils, the Root to Tip Serum can give your hair the relief it needs. Say goodbye to bad hair days, and hello to an immediate rescue from dull, frazzled hair.
- Do you struggle with split ends? Nourishing essential oils and other soothing ingredients make the Root to Tip Serum formula perfect for promoting a healthy-looking head of hair, while reducing the number of visible split ends. If you’ve had it with obnoxious split ends and want a healthier-looking head of hair, the Root to Tip Serum is the perfect solution.
- When you want your hair to look soft and shiny, the Root to Tip Serum provides deep conditioning while promoting hair surface maintenance. For a soft, silky glow, use the Root to Tip Serum daily during your normal haircare routine.

Cathy's Homemade Wrinkle Release Spray for Clothing
***UPDATED 7/8/23***
Cathy's Homemade Wrinkle
Release Spray for Clothing
I sell clothing online and sometimes they are extremely wrinkled. Plus, I use this for my own clothing. I have been using this recipe for about 3 years now and works great for me. This is simple and inexpensive.
Recipe:
- 14 oz spray bottle
- 12 oz of water
- 1 tsp fabric softener
- 1 tsp alcohol
Instructions:
- Mix all ingredients by shaking.
- Hang the clothing up on a hanger, I hang mine in the shower.
- Spray generously on those stubborn wrinkles and stretch the fabric at the wrinkle to straighten.
- Let dry overnight.
So easy! I hope you will try this and save money because those wrinkle-release sprays purchased in the store are expensive.
Let us know if you have tried this recipe or have one of your own. Comment and share your thoughts.

DIY Bath Steamers - Cathy tries and fails!
I wanted to try the DIY Bath Steamers from the Hallmark Channel Home and Family. I tried and failed.😏 But I had fun trying and will try again. You live and learn by failing, right??
MATERIALS
- 2 cups baking soda
- 1 cup citric acid
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 3-5 tbsp water
- Essential oils - whatever you like
- Silicone baking/soap molds
- For a cold/flu symptoms - 80 drops of eucalyptus oil and 40 drops of peppermint oil
- For a soothing shower - 80 drops of lavendar oil & 40 drops of geranium oil
- Place the baking soda, citric acid, and cornstarch in a large bowl. Use a pastry cutter or large whisk to remove lumps and mix well.
- Add the water SLOWLY, 1 tbsp at a time. You have to be very careful because if you add too much water too soon, the whole thing will fizz up. Just be patient and keep testing by grabbing a handful of the mixture and squeezing it in your hand. As soon as it feels like damp sand (that would be perfect for making a sandcastle), you've added enough water.
- Add the essential oils, and after every few drops, use your pastry cutter or a fork to mash them into the mixture.
- Place about 2 tbsp of mixture into each dome, and use the back of a spoon or ice cream scoop to press down and smooth.
- Leave overnight.
- Carefully remove from molds and package in a pretty Mason jar or clear gift bag with ribbons and decorations etc.
- To Store: They will store for up to 6 months in a cool, dark cabinet.
Caution: Because you are bringing oils into the shower, make sure you use a shower mat, and wipe out the shower floor when you are done.
Have you every tried to make bath bombs or steamers? If so, please let us know your tricks of the trade and maybe your favorite scents.

DIY - How to Make an Airtight Lid for Any Bagged Item
- A plastic bottle with a screw top.
- A bag of whatever you want to keep fresh or just pour-able.
- Take the wrapper off the plastic bottle.
- Cut the top of the bottle and cutting it short helps with the process.
- With the lid off, thread the bag through the top.
- Fold the bag over the top enough to cover the thread.
- Push the screw top down over the bag and then screw the top on. The bag will twist with it but you can turn the bag and it will be fine.

Our equipment works okay but we'd like to have a better camera and a microphone. With the TIP JAR we can eventually purchase these items. If you enjoy our videos and you'd like to help us out, even if it's a dollar, we would be so excited. We have yet to decide the type of camera we would like to have, so we will let you know when we have figured it out. We really aren't all that savvy when it comes to all this technical stuff but we are willing to try. Can't fault a girl for trying. ;) UPDATE: We now have lighting and a green screen to play with in our videos ---
